Listed below are examples of the oxidation glazes I use. An oxidation firing is done in an electric kiln and involves having the presence of oxygen in the kiln during the firing process. Oxidation and Reduction glazes cannot be mixed.
The Harlequin color shown below include 3 glazes which can be applied solely to a piece - raspberry (burgandy), spearmint and eqqplant (which is shown individually).

Blue. Glossy finish.
|
Harlequin. Combo of raspberry,
spearmint & eggplant. Rasberry
& spearmint have a gloss finish,
eggplant has a matte. Overlap of
spearmint & eggplant creates a blue
glaze.
|
Waterfall brown (top
color) and blue.
|
Eggplant. Matte finish.
Very smooth surface.
